Jen Day Shaw has been involved in higher education for over 18 years. Dr. Shaw earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Florida State University. Prior to UNCG, some of Jen's professional experience included positions as Division Chair, Student Services at Davidson County Community College; Dean, Student Relations at the University of South Florida; and Dean of Students at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has taught university experience courses to first year students and several different courses to student affairs M.Ed. students. Her professional interests are to initiate student-centered services that enhance students' development, as well as student advocacy. In addition to the Dean's office, Jen supervises the Office of Disability Services, Office of Orientation and Family Programs and Adult Student Resources.
